Hapoel Jerusalem (Winner League) signed 31-year old Puerto Rican international swingman John Holland (195-93kg-88, college: Boston, agency: Wasserman).

He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Holland played last summer at SM Beermen in Filipino PBA league. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In three PBA games he had very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 9.7rpg, 3.3apg, 2.7spg and 1.0bpg. Holland also played for Santeros (BSN) in Puerto Rican league where in 35 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 16.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to win the league title.

Holland has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted USBasket.com All-D-League Impact Player of the Year and USBasket.com All-D-League 3rd Team in 2017.

Holland also represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA Americas in Caracas (Venezuela) six years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 10 games: 9.4ppg, 3.9rpg, FGP: 51.9%, 3PT: 24.1%, FT: 68.0%.

Holland is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Holland has played previously professionally in China (Beijing), France (Chorale de Roanne), Spain, Turkey (Besiktas), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs and Canton Charge).

He attended Boston until 2011 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
Holland could be described: A powerful swingman who shoots well from outside and has the driblling skills and the first pass to go inside to finish. Defense is not his preferred part of the game, but size and athleticism help him in getting the job done.
